Update following National Cabinet. The National Cabinet met today to discuss Australia’s COVID-19 response, the Victoria outbreak, restrictions, helping Australians prepare to go back to work in a COVID-safe environment and getting the economy moving again.
JobTrainer skills package. Australian Government will invest $2 billion to give Australians access to new skills by retraining and upskilling them into sectors with job opportunities, as the economy recovers from COVID-19.
Australia to reduce international flight arrivals. In order to manage and maintain quarantine arrangements, National Cabinet has agreed to implement further caps on international arrivals. States and Territories are moving toward a model of charging for hotel quarantine.
