Geographic information systems
ANZLIC is the peak intergovernmental organisation providing leadership in the collection, management and use of spatial information in Australia and New Zealand. ANZLIC's role is to facilitate easy and cost effective access to the wealth of spatial data and services provided by a wide range of organisations in the public and private sectors.
ANZLIC - The Spatial Information Council
Provides access to Australian spatial data for industry, government, education and the general community. The directory provides search interfaces to discover geospatial dataset descriptions (metadata) throughout Australia.
ABARES produce tools, models, data and metadata to help agricultural, fisheries and forestry industries make decisions.
Department of Agriculture
Data.gov.au provides an easy way to find, access and reuse public datasets from the Australian Government and state and territory governments. The main purpose of the site is to encourage public access to and reuse of government data by providing it in useful formats and under open licences.
Department of Finance
Facilitates and coordinates spatial data management across Australian Government agencies. OSP incorporates the former Office of Spatial Data Management.
Department of Resources, Energy and Tourism
Provides links to state and territory online maps and geographic information.
