International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD) is a United Nations sanctioned day that aims to promote an understanding of people with disability and encourage support for their dignity, rights and well-being. This site is the central source for all information about IDPwD in Australia.

National Auslan Booking and Payment Service

The National Auslan Interpreter Booking and Payment Service (NABS) is funded by the Department of Families, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs. NABS is based at the corporate office of Wesley Mission Brisbane, in Brisbane, but it will provide services Australia-wide. NABS provides interpreters to Deaf and hard of hearing people who use sign language and would like an interpreter for private medical appointments. It is free of charge to Sign Language users and medical practitioners.
