National Land and Water Resources Audit (NLWRA)

The National Land and Water Resources Audit (the Audit) was established in 1997 under the Natural Heritage Trust Act. From 1997 - 2002 the Audit progressed the collection and collation of primary data and information related to Australia's natural resource management. Recommendations to further develop the assessments of Australia's natural resources were identified in the final report of the Audit (2002). The Natural Heritage Ministerial Board has approved a continuation of the Audit from 2002 through to 30 June 2007.
