Do Not Call Register

You can list your Australian fixed line and mobile numbers on the Do Not Call Register, provided the numbers are used primarily for private or domestic purposes. The Do Not Call Register has been set up in response to increasing community concern about the growth in unsolicited telemarketing calls.

Regional Telecommunications Independent Review

The Regional Telecommunications Independent Review Committee (RTIRC) was established to review the adequacy of telecommunications services in regional, rural and remote parts of Australia, and to report to the Minister for Broadband, Communications and the Digital Economy. The Committee is now engaging in public consultations and intends to visit a range of rural, regional and remote areas. These visits will take place in the first half of 2008.
