This site features the CD-ROM 'A House for the Nation' which provides a comprehensive collection of facts, stories and images of the House of Representatives. This site gives a small taste of the hundreds of stories and images that are a part of the A House for the Nation CD-ROM and Documentary project. Online order information is also provided.
Old Parliament House
Old Parliament House opened in 1927 and served as the home of Federal Parliament until 1988. This site introduces the political history, the building and those who worked here. There is also information about visiting Old Parliament House. OPH offers a program of exhibitions and activities and is home to Australia's National Portrait Gallery. It also provides schools and groups with the opportunity to experience the rich social and political history of the House through special tours and education programs.
