The Australian Clearinghouse for Youth Studies (ACYS) collects and disseminates information on youth in Australia through this web site and its print publications. The ACYS was formerly known as the National Clearinghouse for Youth Studies or NCYS. The ACYS web site contains information about youth and youth research in Australia.
Australian Institute of Family Studies (AIFS)
The Australian Institute of Family Studies conducts, encourages and disseminates research on factors affecting marital and family stability in Australia. The Institute supports Australian family research, policy and practice by providing a national information centre, and serves both to improve public understanding of family life and to advise on policies and programs to promote family wellbeing.
National Child Protection Clearinghouse
The National Child Protection Clearinghouse operates from the Australian Institute of Family Studies and provides an information/advisory service to workers in the field. Its overall aim is to inform policy, practice and research into child abuse prevention.
Office for Women (OFW)
The Australian Government Office for Women provides high level advice to the Prime Minister and Minister Assisting the Prime Minister for Women's Issues. It administers programmes, including programmes to combat domestic violence and sexual assault; advises on legislative issues relating to women; provides the principal focus on consultation between the women's sector and government; and represents government at national and international forums on women's issues.
