Australian Energy Market Commission (AEMC)
The AEMC was established to undertake rule making and market development in the National Electricity Market (NEM) and over time the gas market. The AEMC is responsible for administration and publishing of the National Electricity Rules; the rule making process under the new National Electricity Law; and providing policy advice to the MCE in relation to the NEM.
Australian Energy Regulator (AER)

Electrical Regulatory Authorities Council
ERAC is the council responsible for the liaison between the technical and safety electrical regulatory authorities of eight Australian States/Territories and New Zealand.
Energy Reform Implementation Group
The Council of Australian Governments (COAG) Energy Reform Implementation Group (ERIG) will investigate how best to encourage the development of a truly national electricity transmission system. Uranium Mining, Processing and Nuclear Energy Review Taskforce
On 6 June 2006, the Prime Minister announced the appointment of a Taskforce to undertake an objective, scientific and comprehensive review into uranium mining, processing and the contribution of nuclear energy in Australia in the longer term. The Taskforce invites feedback on its draft report by 12 December 2006.
