The Centre for Defence and Strategic Studies is a component of the expanded Australian Defence College. It plays a significant part in preparing for the future security of Australia and the Asia Pacific region. The Defence and Strategic Studies Course (DSSC) is designed to enable senior officers to step up to the national and strategic level.
